TERMS & CONDITIONS

QUOTATIONS & CUSTOMS

 

I am always delighted to provide you with a quotation for bespoke designs based on your individual requirements.  All quotations will, however, be provisional and based on the cost of materials (metal, stones etc) at the time of quoting and held for up to 7 days only.  Costs of materials can vary considerably and change without notice so I will endeavour to anticipate price changes in our quotes.  I cannot provide “off-the-cuff” quotes due to bullion and gemstone price variations, therefore any prices are only approximations.

 

All quotations will be based on the following criteria:

 

  1. Customer to provide correct size. If in doubt I can provide a ring sizer or a chart on the website can be used. Any changes to the size or specification once an order has been placed, may affect the price and I will re-quote to reflect any significant changes.

  2. I recognise that my customers are keen to receive their sparkling new pieces as soon as possible and will do my utmost to craft and deliver your beautiful pieces within the quoted lead times. Please be aware however that on occasions I may receive delays from suppliers or assay this may delay your items dispatch time, I will always endeavour to keep you updated.

  3. Your order will be queued on a “first come, first served” basis.  I am a sole trader and every piece is handmade by me no two pieces are ever exactly the same, this is the beauty of handmade and as such it takes time to create something beautiful.

          4. If your piece exceeds the 7.78gm legal limit for Hallmarking, this will be reflected in the quotation. Your piece will be sent to the        Assay Office in London and again, this may delay delivery.  However, you can be assured that you will have a unique item,           guaranteed silver and currently with the Kings assay mark (and mine!)

        5. Your quotation will request acknowledgement that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions. This must be provided at the time of accepting the quotation as I am unable to proceed with your order otherwise.

        6. Prices for stock items are not subject to change and cannot be discounted as they reflect the cost of time, materials, and               hallmarking at the time of making.

      7. Please also be aware that when ordering items with semi- precious stones these are natural and therefore can have slight colour variations and inclusions.

 

 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

 

As the creator of your handmade piece, I would hope that you are delighted with your purchase from The Scarlet Ribbon, however if you are not satisfied with your order or have changed your mind about a piece, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your item. Once contacted we can arrange to send the item back to me in original packaging and perfect condition within 28 days of receipt. Please note the cost of returning the item is the customers responsibility and initial delivery will only be refunded in cases of fault or damage. Please also ensure returns are posted using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Any other method of delivery will be at your own risk and could result in being unable to process a refund.

I am unable to offer refunds for:

 

  1. Earrings, due to health reasons,

  2. Personalised custom orders. 

 

Refunds will only be made to the named purchaser who placed the order.  We cannot provide a refund if the item was received as a gift.

ALTERATIONS

 

All my jewellery is made to order so please consider this when ordering correct sizes. Always refer to size guides if you are unsure. Should you make an error with sizes please contact me immediately to discuss replacement or alterations within 14 days of receipt.

 

 Please be aware some alterations are easy and others may require a new piece to be made especially in cases of spinner rings and stone set items; and so will be charged accordingly and in the case of spinner rings may need a whole new piece to be made charged at full price. All alterations will incur a charge for my time and postage is covered by the customer.

REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS

 

I want my customers to love their jewellery and get the most from their pieces always, however sometimes accidents happen and items need repairing or stones may need replacing. In the event of needing a repair please contact The Scarlet Ribbon and I will do my best to assist. Items purchased after a 6 month period will be charged for my time and postage fees. Missing stones will be charged for, based on current prices.

 

The Scarlet Ribbon (Samantha Wood) reserves the right to refuse to repair any items that they deem beyond repair and will advise accordingly.

 

SHIPPING & HANDLING

 

Free delivery on all orders over £70

 

Orders are sent via Royal Mail depending on delivery selected. Items will be shipped either by first or second class, there is also the option to select signed for delivery at checkout. I will also keep you updated on the whole process. Please note it could take up to 14 days to receive your item once it has been entrusted to the care of Royal Mail.

 

There are times when we need to close the workshop, holidays, illness etc, which may cause a slight delay in completing your order however we will make every effort to prevent this affecting your delivery and will keep you informed throughout the process.

 

Please be aware industrial strike actions and seasonal times may affect your delivery so ensure you order your items with enough time to spare.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

 

The Scarlet Ribbon does not disclose customers information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. 

 

Data collected on the website is used to take and fulfil customers’ orders, administer, and enhance the site and service and we will only disclose information to third parties for goods delivery purposes.

 

 

PROMOTIONS

 

Any discount codes must be redeemed at the time of order, as I am unable to add them later.  Only one discount code can be used per order, per customer name or per postal address.

 

 

 

PAYMENTS

 

Payments are to be made in full at the time of ordering. Work will not commence until payment has been received.
