THE BRAND
Welcome to The Scarlet Ribbon. I am largely self-taught in traditional silversmithing techniques and mostly work with sterling silver. I am constantly learning and evolving my craft. All my jewellery is handcrafted to a high quality, every piece being made with love and care from my bench in my family home.
I take inspiration from the people I meet, from their life stories and love with a particular focus on self-worth and the care we all owe ourselves. Jewellery is worn every day to make us feel good. What better way to empower the wearer and promote positivity with self-care affirmations on beautiful handmade jewellery, helping reduce negativity and shape positive self-image.
THE DESIGNER
My name is Samantha. I am a self-taught silversmith constantly learning and evolving my craft from my tiny corner workbench in my family home in Kent.
I am a married mum of three wonderful and individual children. My eldest daughter inspires me every day. She is everything I ever dreamt she could be - she is beautiful, vivacious and altruistic. She, like me, also battles with anxiety and I am so proud of how she never lets it beat her or define her self-worth. My son lives with autism spectrum disorder but again he never lets it label him or hold him back. He is a funny, charming and kind gentle giant and I have no doubt he can do anything he sets his mind to in the future. My youngest is a whirlwind of sassy energy, a wild little moon child who knows her own mind and will forever be her own enigmatic free spirit.
My children ground me, encourage me and support me and I am proud of their enthusiasm for my little venture, The Scarlet Ribbon.
