I am happy to cancel an order provided you contact me within 24 hours. If there is a sizing issue please contact me ASAP so we can discuss options and alterations. Please note that once work has commenced on personalised or custom items refunds and cancellations will not be accepted.
  • How long will my order take to arrive?
I aim to finisha piece within 7 days of purchase, however as each item is handmade I may need longer to cplete during busier periods. After completion if the item needs Hallmarking it will need to be sent away which could take a further 5-7 days. Once it has been freshly hallmarked I will pack it lovingly and send via Royal Mail depending on delivery selected.
  • Do you offer personalisation?
Every item is handmade, therefore most items can be personalised in some way. Please contact me if you would like something bespokethat you cannot find on my site. Plesae note it is the customers responsibility to ensure the information provided for personalisation is correct. Personalisation in the form of names and dates etc are created by hand stamping.
  • What is Hand stamped personalisation?
The art of hand stamping is the act of bashing a hammer onto a steel stamp to create an impression into the metal. Hand stamping requires a great deal of practice, even more patience and a lot of love. Because it is hand created it can sometimes mean some impressions can vary in depth than others. I believe these little imperfections give the piece its unique creative beauty. Please note that although i take the upmost care to keep my stamping as close to perfect as i can, hand stamping is different to engraving and therefore is not as crisp and precise. It is perfectly imperfect.
  • How do i know if my item needs Hallmarking?
In the United KIngdom all precious metals over a certain weight must display correct marks by law, under the Hallmarking Act 1973 Notice and approved by the British Hallmarking Council. For Silver items the weight is >7.78g Gold is >1g Platinum >0.5g
  • What if I don't want my item Hallmarked?
It is a legal requirement that all items over a certain weight in precious metal be hallmarked. Trading standards have the right to sieze any goods that do not comply with the 1973 Hallmarking Act. This can lead to prosecution and fines of up to £5000 per article.
  • What is Gold Filled?
Gold filled is an affordable alternative to pure gold. Gold filled, like plated comprises of an alloy coated in a gold layer. Gold plated uses electric currents to negatively charge the base metal and positively charge the gold ions so they are attracted to the base metal. Gold filled is created mechanically; the core metal is sandwiched between two layers of gold which is heated and passed through a roller several ties until it is bonded to the base metal. Gold fill is much more durable than plating and although it can tarnish it will lst much longer than plating due to a thicker layer of gold applied. By law gold filled must have at least 5% gold applied whereas Gold plating is usually 0.5%.
